1. Who we are

2. The two kinds of data we handle
Account data is information about our customers and their team members. For account data, Requesk decides how it is used (we are the “controller”).
Respondent data is information about survey respondents that passes through our customers’ tracking links. For respondent data, we act only on our customer’s instructions (we are the “processor”), and the customer is the controller.
3. Account data we collect
- Contact details: name, work email address, company name and, if you provide it, phone number.
- Login and workspace details: user roles, settings and an activity log of actions taken in the workspace.
- Billing details: plan, invoices and payment status. Card or bank details are handled by our payment processor ([Payment processor, e.g. Razorpay]); we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage and device information: pages visited, features used, IP address, browser type and error logs.
- Messages you send us: support requests, demo requests and partner applications.
4. Respondent data we process for customers
We use respondent data only to screen, route, de-duplicate, report on and reconcile traffic for the customer who sent it. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use one customer’s respondent data for another customer.
- IP address, and the approximate country, region and city derived from it.
- Browser and device information, a hashed device fingerprint and a first-party cookie identifier, used to detect duplicates.
- Answers to qualifier (pre-screener) questions set up by the customer.
- Click IDs, sub-IDs and other parameters passed by vendors and clients, and the status returned for each click (complete, terminate, over-quota).
5. How we use account data
- To provide, maintain and support the service.
- To bill you and manage your subscription.
- To keep the service secure and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To send service messages (for example, click-limit alerts at 80% and 100%) and, where allowed, product updates you can opt out of at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations.
6. Cookies
On requesk.com we use a small number of cookies: one that remembers which version of the homepage you saw (for testing page changes), and, if enabled, analytics cookies that tell us how the site is used.
In the routing service, a first-party cookie is placed on the respondent’s browser so repeat entries can be detected within the time window the customer chooses.
7. Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers who help us run Requesk, and only as much as they need:
- Hosting and infrastructure: [Hosting provider and region, e.g. AWS, Mumbai (ap-south-1)].
- Email delivery: [Email delivery provider, e.g. Amazon SES].
- Payments: [Payment processor, e.g. Razorpay].
- Authorities, where we are legally required to, and a buyer or successor if the business is ever sold or merged (with this policy continuing to apply).
8. How long we keep data
We keep account data while your account is active and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
Respondent data is kept as long as the customer needs it for their projects. After a customer closes their account, their workspace data is deleted or anonymised within [90] days, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
9. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit, workspace isolation and role-based access. See our Security page (requesk.com/security) for details.
10. International transfers
Data is stored with [Hosting provider and region, e.g. AWS, Mumbai (ap-south-1)]. If data is transferred to another country, we use appropriate safeguards required by the applicable law, such as Standard Contractual Clauses for data from the EU/UK.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU/UK GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict some uses of it.
Customers and team members can email reach@requesk.com. Respondents should contact the research company that invited them to the survey; we will help that company respond to the request.
12. Children
Requesk is a business tool and is not intended for children. Customers are responsible for screening respondents by age where their research requires it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify account owners by email.
